I took this picture of the street outside my building this afternoon at about 4PM. It has been raining in CA for a while now. The wet new year has also produced a nice green lawn with fresh grass that captures the dim afternoon light really nicely.
In this picture, I used photoshop to dim or take out the red and blues of the picture, darkening the sky and some spots in the tree tops. I left the greens untouched. I also took out the colors of the cars because they were distracting me.
On some days I see how green the grass is around my home, and I have wanted to try to explain it to people. Now this picture is able to show folks how lucky I can see color in my life!
