Wow, it's been 4 months since my last update!
So I have a part-time job in a retail store where I go to enjoy the cut-throat world of consumerism and retail marketing. In this job I enjoy observing all kinds of people who either live in San Francisco or come for a visit.
I have had a little girl ask me whether I was a boy or a girl, to be followed by a statement from her mother (YES HER FUCKING MOTHER) that I reminded her of that assistant wedding planner in that Steve Martin movie, the Asian one with the ponytail who had a Jewish last name!
"You must get that a lot," she said, to which I flatly replied, "No."
My lovely co-worker said that those people were trashy "new" money. Those Pac Heights types who like to throw their money around. Unlike "old" money where they at least have some manners and don't talk about their money.
More recently during Gay Pride weekend, I had the pleasure of helping a customer at the check out. Now this guy was pretty cute, blonde and wearing a tight white t-shirt and all.
When the part of the transaction came when I had to ask for a phone number for our marketing purposes, he answered without even looking up at me, "Thanks, I am straight." He had the air about him like he was used to being approached by the likes of me, whatever we may be! Since it was Gay Pride weekend and all, I let it go and had a chuckle with my co-workers. But girl, some people!
So don't flatter yourself Mr. I-am-Beautiful-and-everyone-who-comes-up-to-wants-to-ask-me-out!
Then it happened: Cute blondie guy became pathetic smug ugly dude. HAHAHAHA
